IN MIND

Our first exhibition of 2019 at The Malago!

An Abstract Exhibition exploring what it means to be human. Delving into the depths of the human psyche with representations of Mind, Body & Soul. 

Featuring a showcase of artworks from John Buckley, Emily Krainc, Douglas Karson, Georgina Thornton-Parr & Lisa Travers. 

Open daily 10am – 6pm until 03.03.19.

Portrait Taster Day

A portrait taster day, exploring how to enlarge an image from A4 to A2 using pencil & charcoal to create realistic tone & texture through markmaking. If you’ve ever wondered how to create a faithful likeness from a photograph, we’ll show you how on this fun, no pressure, tutored workshop.

Facilitated by Bristol based Fine Artist Sophie Galliers & Tribe Aisthetica. All materials included.

 

Meet & Greet #3

We’re back!
 
Our first Meet & Greet of 2019, we can’t wait to hear what you’ve all been up to! If you’re an artist looking for help, a creative in need of a sympathetic ear or are just looking to chat to like minded folks, this is for you. 

This is a bi-monthly information share & casual networking event. Nothing too rigid or scary! You will get a first look at all our upcoming events & exhibitions yet to be made public & therefore first dibs on joining in.

March Exhibition

We are really looking forward to this joint exhibition at The Malago in March., featuring two prominent South West based Artists.

Stuart Nurse will be showcasing his collection A WALK BY THE RIVER FROME. 

Alongside Amanda Slade, who will be showcasing her collection OUT WEST. 

Opening from 03.03.19 – 07.04.19 with a Launch Party 07.03.19 5.30pm-7.30pm. All welcome to attend. 

 


Past Events

LANDSKIEN

LANDSKIEN, a joint exhibition from Sky Siouki & Abigail Coombs of Oil & Oak. This exhibition showcased  two brand new collections from both artists & will explored the natural world & our spiritual connection to the earth 15.10.18 – 05.01.19. at The Malago. 

LANDSKIEN – meaning ‘the weaving horizon lines on a hazy day’, also ‘a flock of wild fowl’ and a ‘twisting coil of thread’.

Yuletide Markets at The Malago

This winter we launched our Yuletide Markets at The Malago, following the success of our Artist Markets during the Southbank Arts Trail. We’ve worked side by side The Malago over the past year to create a community exhibition space in their beautiful restaurant. Now an established & integral part of the Bristol art community, it is known as an affordable exhibition venue in service of it’s local community.

Our Yuletide Markets offer affordable market stalls for creatives & food producers. 

Launched 25th November, then every Sunday throughout December. 

Bristol Etsy & Bristol Girl Bosses Winter Pop-Up Shop

We helped launch the super successful Winter Pop-up Shop in the Galleries this Christmas. It was the first ever collaboration between the Bristol Etsy Team & Bristol Girl Bosses & what a result!

With over 80 Bristol based designers & makers, this was one of our biggest & most succesful projects to date!

Totterdown Arts Trail 2018

We love the Totterdown Arts Trail & are annual devotees! This year we’ll be opening the doors to Tribe Aisthetica HQ  once again with a full blown Pop-up Shop style event.

Ostara

Tribe Aisthetica presents OSTARA, our celebration to the coming of summer art exhibition. 

Featuring original artworks from David Chilton, Chimps Teaparty, Yolande Henebery, Camilla Mason, Jessie Rose McGuinness, Emma Studd, Amy Vans & Jessie Woodward. With works from ceramics, contemporary painters, collage, printmakers & illustrators, this exhibition is jam packed full of goodies for your home or to give as gifts. Here at Tribe Aisthetica we are all about supporting local businesses and giving back to our community. 

Lenten

Tribe Aisthetica’s exhibition LENTEN, featuring artworks from Francesca Barton, Carrie Dare, Elsa Rose Frere, Katharina Nyilas, Emily Owen & Melaine Wickham. 

We will also have live music from The Malago’s very own Bozanna & Soft Haired Al plus Chad Dub. Plus plenty of bubbly & canapés from Head Chef Helly to go around.

Lithic TEK

at SPACE, Bristol & at Walcot Chapel, Bath  23.02.18-25.02.18 & 02.03.18-04.03.18        A collaborative exhibition in response to Stoney Littleton; a Neolithic Long Barrow nestled in the Somerset countryside. A Place of ancestral origin & modern ambiguity. 

Lithic TEK pertains to indigenous knowledge; the artists create new ways of seeing through place & totemic provenance. Featuring artworks from: Jusefa Charlamow, Abigail Coombs, Megan Custons-Cole & Rachel Watson

Advent

Presenting the Opening Night of our Winter Exhibition Advent. Join us for Live Music, Bubbly, Canapés from head chef & owner Helly, Mulled Wine and Mince Pies & a chance to meet the artists.  A Festive Treat!
